Welcome, students, and welcome back!

I am honored to have this opportunity to welcome you all to the newest and most exciting stage of your life. As your Brockport Experience takes flight, I wish you and the entire College at Brockport community a year full of growth, passion, and positive direction.  
 

On behalf of Brockport Student Government I invite all students into our offices, which can easily be found on the first floor of the Seymour Union. Our organization is determined to establish an environment where students feel welcome, and encouraged to take the direction of student government into their own hands. As the elected President of an organization that has successfully operated for more than 40 years, I am humbled to serve as your voice, and represent the “average student” in Brockport Student Government (BSG).
 

With the recent creation of our Student Relations department, our mission this year is to truly find what YOU, the student body, want from your elected student leadership. Our administration recognizes the need of a voice for the “average student;” empowered you shall become. We have established channels of communication for students to provide suggestions, ideas, and visions for fun events and programs around campus. Our Programming Department is skilled, but your input will define what the “Brockport Experience” truly is.
 

Equally as important, we urge all students to bring their constructive criticism, struggles, and concerns to our attention. No matter the size of your situation, on campus or off campus, Brockport Student Government will stand beside you until the matter is resolved to your satisfaction. I cannot reinforce enough, our goal to assist all students during this transition period your life, and provide support as you grow. Brockport Student Government is your voice; we derive our motivation from the students we serve, and ensure your mandatory fee is used to maximize your college experience.
 

I encourage anyone interested in joining our mission to successfully serve the Student Body to contact our offices via any of the following avenues:

No matter your level of involvement this year, do not hesitate to push yourself in finding your passion. What you find here in Brockport is dependant on your will to challenge yourself, grow, and explore. It’s true that your path may not necessarily find you, and that your path may take you every direction, but hold your head high, as we stand together at the gates of success.
